Social scientists and educators have conducted scholarly research on issues related to CAE’s mission. Among other topics, this research includes:
• evaluating the reliability and validity of our assessments
• discovering patterns of performance on the CLA/CLA+
• examining associations between student characteristics, CLA/CLA+ performance, and college success
• adapting and developing performance assessments for international use
This research allows CAE to improve its own assessments, share knowledge gained with educational stakeholders, and advance the use of innovative assessments to improve teaching and learning.
