An Academic Exchange on Critical Thinking
CAE was honored to co-sponsor the International Forum of Evaluation and Future Skills hosted by Tecnológico de Monterrey on May 15, 2026.
The forum brought together higher education leaders and faculty from around the world to explore how generative AI is reshaping critical thinking and to discuss strategies for strengthening students’ higher-order cognitive and communication skills. The conversations highlighted both the opportunities and responsibilities institutions face in preparing students for success in an AI-driven world.
Juan Pablo Murra, Rector of Tec de Monterrey, set the tone for the event with an inspiring keynote presentation. Speakers and panelists from Tec de Monterrey, CAE, the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad de Guadalajara, Texas A&M University Mays Business School, Purdue University, and PrepaTec each contributed valuable perspectives and research to the discussion.
As one attendee captured so well:
“I was energized to be in a room with people who are all trying to help students do better. The passion was evident.”
Events like these highlight the importance of collaboration in advancing educational practices that equip students with the skills they need to succeed in an evolving workforce. Our sincere gratitude to all who participated and made this possible.
